Burn Crew Member, The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy is seeking red-carded firefighters to serve as Burn Crew Members participating in wildland fire operations in Southeast Louisiana this Spring.  This is a temporary 12-week, 40 hour/week position with onsite TNC provided housing.  The deadline to apply is March 2, 2020.

The Longleaf Alliance is seeking a Development and Media Manager to focus on media correspondence, special events, individual and corporate donors, and grant research, writing, and reporting.  This is a full-time one-year salary position contingent on grant funds in FY21.  The position is located in the Southeastern United States (natural longleaf range) as agreed upon by the candidate and the Development Director.  Proximity to Charleston, South Carolina is preferred.

SCA’s Veterans Fire Corps engages teams of military veterans in fire mitigation. Members work together for 12 weeks, focusing on fuels reduction, fire effects monitoring, educational outreach, and participation in prescribed fires.
