Southern Georgia Named ‘Sentinel Landscape’ for Readiness Enhancement

A huge win for working lands, conservation, and national defense!  The departments of Agriculture, Defense and Interior, through the Sentinel Landscapes Partnership, have designated a significant southern part of Georgia as a Sentinel Landscape. This announcement is exciting for longleaf fans, as longleaf pine forests and the surrounding ecosystem within the protected region will be an area of importance to partners, particularly as they work to protect the valuable gopher tortoise population!  For more information, check out the following links!
