2018 Range-wide Accomplishment Report

The 2018 Range-wide Accomplishment Report is now available, celebrating the progress made in longleaf pine restoration over the past year and the past decade. Rather than a report based solely on what has been accomplished in a one year timespan, this year’s report showcases what can be done to reach our goal of 8 million acres of longleaf pine habitat by 2025.

The report gives ALRI’s impacts from 2010-2018 in categories such as longleaf acres planted, longleaf acres protected, and acres of prescribed burning. It also lays out key strategies moving forward – restoration impacts, public lands initiatives, private lands engagement, and understanding the landscape.

On the cusp of the 10-year anniversary of the America's Longleaf Restoration Initiative, our public and private partners are celebrating achievements but continuing to look for new ways to connect people to the land, sustain family forests, build stewardship legacies, and support flourishing wildlife. We hope you enjoy reading about the great work that has taken place since 2010 for the longleaf pine ecosystem!
