November 15, 2017
Thanks to grants from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Walmart Today, and the Acres for America program, longleaf forests in Texas and North Carolina will be getting much needed preservation! A portion of the Longleaf Ridge in east Texas will be permanently protected due to a conservation easement and 5,200 acres of forest habitat in eastern North Carolina, including longleaf pine, will be purchased and safeguarded.
